File Associations |
File associations determine what application automatically starts when a file is opened by double-clicking its icon. They can be changed under L > Settings > Control Panel > File Browsing > File Associations.
For example, to open web pages with Nvu instead of the default Linspire Internet Suite, change "Application Preference Order" under file type text->html. This screenshot shows changes the default application for a mpeg movie file:
