CNR : Web Authoring
Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") makes managing websites a snap. Now anyone can create web pages and manage a website with no technical expertise or knowledge of HTML. Similar to FrontPage. Nvu has support of XML, CSS, and JavaScript. It's architecture is based on XUL.
TIPS The Linspire CNR version (as of Nvu 1.0) does not have a Publish button. Instead: 1. Have a site established in the site manager. 2. Open the file to be uploaded. 2. Click the "Save As" command on the File menu. 3. Choose a file to "save." 4. Choose the FTP site in "Site Location." 5. Click Okay.
If you are editing a site that is already published, the "Save" button should work. Resources: Nvu Home Page: www.nvu.com Nvu forums: forum.nvudev.org Nvu Wiki FAQs: nvu.wikispaces.com
